School is out for the summer, but the Scalawags are keeping busy! We’ve been working on building a new demo robot, and constantly making repairs and adjustments to our t-shirt cannon, Percy. The team met up for our annual family BBQ in July – and Clem the dog had the best time of all! We went to the Linn County Fair with SWARM 957 from Albany, and they also joined us in the Strawberry Parade. We’ve been at several downtown events – even giving away Root Beer Floats for the Wine Walk in July, hosted bingo nights at Tallman Brewing, and gone to National Night Out. We’re halfway through our annual 5-day STEAM day camp, where we host 4th through 8th graders in our shop for STEAM learning. Keep an eye out for us at events, and be on the look-out for car washes! We’ve still got a lot of money we need to raise for next year’s competition!
